Basking in the runaway success of his recent release Magizh Thirumeni’s Thadam, Arun Vijay is gearing up for his next. The actor is all set to collaborate with Gautham Menon and this will be this 25th film.

His role in Gautham Menon’s Yennai Arindhaal where he shared screen space with Ajith Kumar, gained him critical acclaim. If the industry sources are anything to go by, Arun has put on hold his landmark film his 25th project which he was supposed to commence recently and has revived GVM's project. Details about this project including its title and the rest of the cast and crew are expected to be out soon.

Meanwhile, Arun is also in talks with Director Karthick Naren who made an impressive debut with his critically-acclaimed and highly successful crime-thriller Dhuruvangal 16 and the project is tentatively going to be bankrolled by Lyca Productions. It may be noted that Arun Vijay will be making his debut in Telugu this year,  where he is playing an important role in the Prabhas starrer Saaho. The actor has two more films – Agni Siragugal and Vijay Antony's Boxer – needing his attention.

Arun’s latest Thadam, which marked his reunion after the critically acclaimed Thadaiyara Thaakka with director Magizh Thirumeni, is a high-octane investigative thriller and emerged as a blockbuster hit.

The film also starred Tanya Hope, Vidya Pradeep and Sonia Aggarwal. A Telugu remake of Thadam is already in the offing, and Ram Pothineni is in talks to reprise the dual role played by Arun Vijay in the original.

On the other hand Gautham Menon has two films Dhruva Natchathiram and Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta that are yet to see the light of the day. ENPT recently went through the censor process and was given U/A and slated to release in the coming months.

In the meantime, Gautham Menon will be completing the web series, tentatively titled Queen, which is based on the life of the late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalithaa. Though there is no official news on the same, it is being said Ramya Krishnan will be essaying Jayalalithaa's role in it and there are rumours that Viji Chandrasekar might be playing Sasikala's role in this project.
