The shooting for the Prabhas starrer Saaho began last year and has been progressing well. The team is currently stationed in Abu Dhabi where some important portions, including a stunt sequence, are likely to be canned.

According to latest reports from the sets of Saaho, actor Arun Vijay has joined the sets and scenes involving him are currently being shot. In a media interaction, Arun clarified that he does not play a negative role in the film, but that he could not reveal anything more about the character.

The actor, who primarily works in Tamil films and made a mark for himself in the Telugu film industry with Bruce Lee, is reportedly playing a pivotal role in Saaho. Directed by Sujeeth, the film is being bankrolled by V Vamshi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati under the banner UV Creations on a budget of Rs 300 crore.

The film stars Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor as the lead pair with Arun Vijay, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Evelyn Sharma and Jackie Shroff in supporting roles. Shankar – Ehsaan – Loy are scoring the music for this venture with R Madhi cranking the camera and A Sreekar Prasad editing the film.

The first look of Saaho was released on October 23 last year to coincide with Prabhas’ birthday and the film’s teaser was out in April last year. All this has created huge expectations for Saaho, apart from the fact that it happens to be Prabhas’ first film release after his association with Baahubali for nearly five years.

Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion turned out to be the biggest hits ever in the history of Indian cinema. Both the films were made on a budget of around Rs 450 crore and Baahubali: The Conclusion went on to collect about Rs 1,700 crores at the box office worldwide.

With Saaho having an impressive star cast, movie buffs can hardly wait for its release. The film is likely to hit the silver screens later this year.
