The teaser of the upcoming trilingual Kontract in Kannada, Iruvar Oppantham in Tamil and Iddaru in Telugu was released a few days ago and garnered the attention of film buffs. Now, we have reports that the film will hit the marquee next month. However, the exact release date is yet to be announced.

The shooting for Kontract was wrapped up a few weeks ago and it is currently in the post production mode. The film stars Arjun Sarja and Radhika Kumaraswamy in the lead roles. Besides them, the star cast also includes JD Chakravarthy in a pivotal role. According to the latest reports, Bollywood actor Faisal Khan will be playing an important role in the film and it will mark his debut in the southern film circuit.

Written, directed and produced by SS Sameer, Kontract is an action drama. Subhash Anand has composed the music for this venture with Aamir Lal cranking the camera and Prabhu editing it.

On her role in the film, Radhika Kumaraswamy had told the Times of India much earlier: “I am paired alongside two heroes, JD Chakravarthy and Arjun Sarja in Kontract. In many ways, I can say that the film revolves majorly around me. I had a great time shooting for this film, because my director Sameer is very soft-spoken and a gem of a person. Usually, a director is harsh and tries to order people around. But, Sameer is extremely soft-natured and it was a wonderful experience working with him.”

Besides Kontract, Radhika has a few Kannada films in her kitty including the Ramesh Aravind starrer Baira Devi, the horror comedy Damayanti directed by Navarasan, V Ravichandran starrer Rajendra Ponnappa and Vijay Raghavendra’s Nimagagi. The films are in different stages of production and are likely to hit the silver screens this year in quick succession.
