The News Minute | December 2, 2014 | 09:41 am IST The year 2014 has been a year of challenges of sorts- from Ice Bucket to Rice Bucket and everything in between, irrespective of the initiatives' success or failure, people around the world have got together for some cause, to try and make that one difference. The year's on it last leg and as winter wraps us in its cold embrace, it is time to spread some warmth around. The Warm Blanket Challenge is seeking to do just that. The challenge is basic- it invites people to 'give away an old or new blanket, sweater or even a sock'.The initiative, which was launched two weeks ago, already has over 3,000 likes on Facebook. The page is also filled with photographs of people donating blankets to those who need them, many supporting the cause. We also feel by spreading warmth we hopefully will benefit them in many different ways'.( Saima has chosen to #spreadwarmth with a hoodie and a pair of track pants..
