If the industry grapevine is anything to go by, Rajamouli has already begun preparations for his highly ambitious next project, Mahabharat.

It has been learnt from reliable sources that the multi-lingual projects might bring together three superstars – Rajinikanth, Mohanlal and Aamir Khan - for the first time in a single frame.

While there’s no official word on the cast yet and Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad recently confirmed that the project may not happen anytime soon, sources privy to the development have confirmed that talks have been initiated with the stars.

What’s still not known is the time frame that will take for the Baahubali director to take the film to the sets.

Tipped to be made on a scale even bigger than Baahubali, the project might take longer than anticipated.

Meanwhile, Rajamouli also has to work on the much talked about Baahubali mobile game – which will see the collaboration of the filmmaker with Mark Skaggs, the brain behind the games such as Farmville and Lord of the Rings.

With Baahubali 2 slated for theatrical release on April 28, Rajamouli and his team are working round the clock.
