Fresh reports have emerged that actor Jyothika might join hands with Aramm director Gopi Nainar for a thriller which will be entirely shot inside a house in just 20 days. Apparently, Gopi has already pitched the story and has impressed Jyothika with his narration. However, she is officially yet to sign on the dotted line and she’s slightly reluctant at the moment as she has two films in the pipeline. It’s worth mentioning that it was recently confirmed that Gopi will direct the sequel to Aramm with Nayanthara from February 2019. It’s quite possible that he might finish Aramm 2 and then team up with Jyotika for this yet-untitled project.

In his recent interview to Cinema Express, Gopi clarified that Nayanthara won’t be seen playing a politician in Aramm 2. “Nayanthara won’t be playing a politician but the film will continue to address important social issues. It will be more hard-hitting than the first part.” Nayanthara is currently shooting for megastar Chiranjeevi’s Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and she also has a yet-untitled project with Sivakarthikeyan in her kitty. This year has been great for Nayanthara with two back-to-back blockbusters. With Kolamavu Kokila and Imaikka Nodigal, she has emerged as one of the few leading female actors in the country with films that have done business over Rs 100 crore.

It’s been a fabulous year for Jyothika too with three critically-acclaimed releases such as Naachiyaar, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam and Kaatrin Mozhi. Currently, she has two new projects in her kitty and interestingly both these films are with first-time directors. Earlier this week, one of her new projects with debutant director S Raj in the production of Dream Warrior Pictures was launched. In a statement, the makers revealed that they’re erecting a school set worth Rs 50 lakh to shoot the film, which will go on the floors next month. Her other project will be directed by another debutant in the production of 2D Entertainment.
