The ever-famous Apple company has been charged with destroying the economy of a country.
The Finnish Prime Minister Alexander Stubb accused the iPhone of causing the decline of Nokia and the paper industry, once the two biggest industries in the country.
However, soon since 2007 when the iPhone first released, Nokia has gone in decline with lay offs of atleast 12,500 Nokia employees in the last year, reported HuffingtonPost.
Stubb had even accused Steve Jobs, cofounder of Apple of taking away jobs from Finland, said the report.
However, it’s not all Apple’s fault. According to Businessweek, Nokia lost out its market to both Apple and Samsung. Moreover, Samsung has a larger market than even Apple, so in essential, it should not be just Apple’s fault, said the report.
The print industry has been hit because of decline in print media. It should be Kindle’s fault too maybe rather than just Apple.
Maybe, the Finnish PM should have broadly accused modern technology instead of just one company.
