Anushka Shetty in Gautham Vasudev Menon’s next project?

Gautham Vasudev Menon, who is currently busy with Joshua: Imai Pol Kaakha starring Puppy-fame Varun in the lead, will direct his next movie with Anushka Shetty in the lead. According to reports, the new movie will be female-centric and will be an adaptation of noted writer and filmmaker Govind Nihalani’s script.

Gautham Vasudev Menon’s current project Joshua: Imai Pol Kaakha is touted to be an action thriller. It also said that the film would be different from what the ace director had done before with Hollywood standards. With almost 60% of the film's shooting being completed, the team would be flying to the UK and USA to complete the balance.

Gautham Vasudev Menon’s new film will be a part of a three-film deal signed with Vels Films and will be bankrolled by Isari Ganesh.

Govind Nihalani is a film director, cinematographer, screenwriter and producer, known for his works in Bollywood. Recipient of six National Film Awards and five Bollywood Filmfare Awards in his long career spanning over five decades, his script was adapted for Kamal Hassan’s hit movie Kuruthippunal. It went on to become India's official entry for the 68th Academy Awards Best Foreign Language Film category. Govind Nihalani was honored with Padma Shri in 2002.

Meanwhile, Gautham Vasudev Menon has two projects awaiting release -- Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta and Dhruva Natchathiram. Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta, slated to release on November 29, has Dhanush and Megha Akash play the lead pair. Baahubali star Rana Daggubati is doing a cameo role in the movie. Apart from these actors, Sasi Kumar and Sunaina will also be seen playing an important role in this flick. Darbuka Siva is the music composer for this flick and the  camera work has been handled by three cinematographers Jomon T John, Manoj Paramahamsa and SR Kathir.

Dhurva Natchathiram, meanwhile, has Vikram as the hero and Aishwarya Rajesh, Ritu Varma, R Parthiepan, Vinayakan, Simran, Suresh Chandra Menon, Raadhika, Vamsi Krishna, Salim Baig, Sathish Krishnan, Munna Simon, Maya S Krishnan, Dhivyadharshini, Preethi Nedumaran and Shravanthi Sainath forming part of the caste. Harris Jayaraj is composing music for this flick with Manoj Paramahamsa in charge of cinematography and Praveen Antony editing it.
