Ace filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is someone who would never miss heaping praises where it is deserved. Interestingly, acting in Tamil film is not new to this maverick director as he had played the antagonist in Imaikkaa Nodigal, which had Nayanthara in the lead role. This film was directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu.
Super Deluxe is directed by the National Award winning director Thiagarajan Kumararaja. The film has a bevy of stars in the cast with Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Samantha, Mysskin and Ramya Krishnan in pivotal roles. It is an anthology of short films with each of the actor playing the central character in each segment.
While Vijay Sethupathi will be seen as a trans woman in a segment, Fahadh Faasil will be playing an urban youth in another. Besides playing the lead role, Fahadh will also dub with his own voice.
The film is bankrolled by Tyler Durden and Kino Fist in association with East West Dream Workz Entertainment and Alchemy Vision Workz. While the film has been penned by director Thiagarajan Kumararaja, the additional screenplay for it was written by Mysskin, Nalan Kumarasamy and Neelan K Sekar.
Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed music for this venture with three popular cinematographers - PC Sreeram, PS Vinod and Nirav Shah – handling the camera. Sathyaraj Natarajan will be the editor of Super Deluxe that is all set for release on March 29.
