Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap made his acting debut with Ajay Gnanmuthu’s Imaikka Nodigal and now he has signed another project with the same director. Reports are that Anurag Kashyap will be playing an important role in the director’s next film that will have Vikram in the lead role.
The prep work for this untitled project is currently on and the shooting will begin during the first week of June. Ajay Gnanmuthu is assembling the rest of the star cast and crew for this film and an announcement is expected to be out later this month.
Meanwhile, Vikram is currently busy with Mahavir Karna, a historical drama. Director RS Vimal’s Mahavir Karna is a high budget movie that will be made in Hindi and Tamil simultaneously with plans on to release its dubbed versions in other languages. Reports are that this film will have an ensemble of stars in the cast from different film industries in India and abroad.
Mahavir Karna is a high budget movie that will be bankrolled by the United Film Kingdom on a budget of Rs 300 crores. This high budget movie will be directed by RS Vimal is best known for Ennu Ninte Moideen with the technical crew including Shameer Mohammad for editing.
Also, Vikram is expecting the release of Gautham Menon directorial Dhruva Natchathiram. It is a spy thriller that has him playing the lead role. The film has Simran, R Parthiepan, Aishwarya Rajesh and Ritu Varma in the star cast.
Written and directed by Gautham Menon, it will have music composed by Harris Jayaraj and cinematography done by Jomon T John, Santhana Krishnan Ravichandran and Manoj Paramahamsa.
He awaits the release of Kadaram Kondan bankrolled by Kamal Haasan under his banner Raaj Kamal Films International Directed by Rajesh Selva. The film has Vikram and Kamal’s daughter Akshara Haasan as the lead pair.
