The hit Telugu film Ninnu Kori is all set to be remade in Tamil with Atharva Murali and Anupama Parameswaran roped in to play the lead pair.

Anupama Parameswaran will be reprising the role done by Nivetha Thomas in the original version. In an interview to cinemaexpress.com, Anupama has said, “I am playing a Bharatanatyam artiste in the film and being a classical dancer myself, I think I will be at ease doing that part.” She added, “I'm glad to play the character that Nivetha (Thomas) had essayed brilliantly in the original. It's a challenging role and I'm trying to internalize the emotions of that character. I also understand it's hard not to draw comparisons to her portrayal. Nevertheless, I am trying my best to bring life to that character and not pale in comparison.”

The Tamil remake will be directed by Kannan and bankrolled by Cosmo Kiran.
