Last month, there was a casting call for Dulquer Salmaan’s maiden production venture. The film, which has not been titled yet, was launched recently and the shooting is on at a brisk pace.   

Shamsu Zayba will be wielding the megaphone for this venture with Jacob Gregory roped in to play the lead role. The movie is reportedly titled Ashokante Adhyarathri. There will be three female leads and they are Anupama Parameswaran, Nikhila Vimal and Anu Sithara. Apart from these actors, a set of newbies will be debuting in this film. The technical crew of this film includes Sree Hari K Nair for music and Sajad Kakku for cinematography.

Sources in the know say that the lead actor Jacob Gregory and Dulquer Salmaan are best buddies and have worked together in films such as Parava, ABCD, 100 Days of Love and Jomonte Suvisheshangal. There are expectations that Dulquer Salmaan will be making a cameo appearance in his maiden production but that hasn’t been confirmed yet.

The shooting is currently on at a location in Aluva, Kerala and will go on for the next few days. On the title of this film, we can expect it to be officially revealed within a few weeks.

Meanwhile, Dulquer Salmaan’s latest release Oru Yamandan Premakadha, continues to do well at the box office. His much-awaited Hindi film The Zoya Factor is getting ready for release in June.

Dulquer is expecting the release of two Tamil movies – Vaan and Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal this year. Vaan directed by RA Karthik a travel-based script. The film is being shot in multiple locations. Priya Bhavani Shankar, who was last seen in Karhi's Kadai Kutty Singam has been roped in to play Dulquer’s romantic interest in the film. It also stars Kalyani Priyadarshan and Kriti Kharbhanda as the other leads.
