A police officer from Ballari district took to Facebook to talk about unequal treatment of men and women, but removed the post later.

On August 26 (Friday) Ballari Sub-Inspector Gayathri Farhan posted on Facebook about the hardships women in the force have to face in service.

On Monday however, she removed the post, saying, “I have posted the status in general, Kindly don't try to give colours to the status. ....”.

Among other things, Gayathri said in her August 26 post, that female officers did not receive the same recognition as male officers. Gayathri also said that it is difficult to prove her existence in both society and professional life.

The police sub-inspector said that there was no job satisfaction even as she enters the 12th year of service in September.
