A woman allegedly strangled two of her three children and killed herself at their shed in Thambuchetty Palya in east Bengaluru on Monday.
The woman had also allegedly attempted to kill her 6-month-old son, however, the six-month-old baby survived, reported TOI.
Police identified the deceased as 26-year-old Gangadevi, six-year-old daughter Palpasa, and three-year-old son Parbal.
Gangadevi, who was married to Prem, was reportedly annoyed at her husband’s inability to stick to a job.
The Nepalese couple went to Kerala to make a living, but decided to settle down in Bengaluru.
Prem, who was uneducated, managed to get only a security guard's job and changed his job frequently. He made his family stay in make-shift houses or sometimes even abandoned open houses, reported The Times of India.
However, Gangadevi, who was a graduate, found it difficult to manage three children and do the chores, said police.
Prem had taken up a security guard's job at an under-construction building in Thambuchetty Palya, where he made his family stay in a makeshift shed near the construction site, reported Deccan Herald.
The couple fought over the matter as Gangadevi was not happy a few day ago. On Monday she killed her children and herself, said the police.
Her baby son was handed over to the relatives.
The police have taken Prem for questioning in connection with the case.
