Allu Arjun’s next will be the Venu Sriram directorial titled Icon. The film will go on the floors in October and the director is currently busy assembling his team. According to reports, Anirudh Ravichander may be roped in to compose the tunes for Icon but there is no official confirmation on this yet. Anirudh, one of the leading music composers in the Tamil film industry, forayed into Tollywood with the Pawan Kalyan-starrer Agnyaathavaasi. He then went on to compose the tunes for Nani’s Jersey.

Further, sources in the know say that Raashi Khanna is in talks to play the lead opposite Allu Arjun. Icon is bankrolled by Dil Raju under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations. The film is scheduled to hit the marquee in summer 2020.

Allu Arjun is currently busy with Ala Vaikuntapuramlo, directed by Trivikram Srinivas. The project went on the floors a couple of months ago and the team has completed the first schedule. The film has Pooja Hegde playing the female lead with another heroine Ketika Sharma also roped in. Veteran actor Jayaram has been roped in to play Allu Arjun’s father. Interestingly, another versatile actor, Sathyaraj, will be seen as the hero’s grandfather. Both these roles are said to be meaty and will be performance-oriented. Tabu is making a comeback in the Telugu film industry with this film, reportedly playing the hero’s mother.

The film is being bankrolled jointly by Allu Aravind and S Radha Krishna under the banners Geetha Arts and Haarika & Hassine Creations respectively. The technical crew of this film includes S Thaman for music, PS Vinod for cinematography and Naveen Nooli for editing.

Meanwhile, Anirudh has a slew of projects, which includes the Rajinikanth starrer Darbar. This will be his second successive film with Rajinikanth after Petta. The young composer has been also signed for Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 directed by Shankar. Recently it was also announced that he will be composing the music for Vijay’s next outing directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, currently dubbed Thalapathy 64.
