If the industry grapevine is anything to go by, composer Anirudh Ravichander who rose to fame with Dhanush’s Kolaveri Di number and has hit albums such as Maari, Remo and Vedalam to his credit, might reunite with Vijay and Murugadoss for the second time after their blockbuster collaboration Kaththi.

While there hasn’t been an official announcement yet, buzz is that Anirudh has already given his nod as Murugadoss has been keen on roping him in from the beginning.

The project, tentatively titled Vijay 62, is slated to go on the floors later this year. In his recent interview with The Hindu, when he was asked if he has signed Vijay 62, Anirudh said, “Let the official announcement come.”

Kaththi is arguably one of Anirudh’s best works and Vijay’s fans are gung ho about reports that he might join hands with their matinee idol once again. In the interview, he had said that when he works with Vijay or Ajith, there are no limits to what he can try.

“The pressure which arises from such films makes me come up with something great. The more space I get, the better the output,” he said.

Currently busy working on Ajith's Vivegam and a few other films, Anirudh has dedicated the album to 25 years of Ajith.

“Ajith sir is completing 25 years in cinema, and this album is dedicated to that milestone. While ‘Surviva’ is Hiphop-EDM, ‘Thalai Viduthalai’ is death metal. The next single will be in the Carnatic space. We are exploring as many genres as we can, and there will be seven tracks in all, including one theme. I’ve started the re-recording work and I’m very excited about the film. It’s a new space for all of us. Ajith sir has really rocked it with his efforts. The first day will be a never-seen-before different feeling in theatres,” he said.
