Anthony Varghese who made his debut as an actor with Angamaly Diaries is back with a bang in his second movie Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil. While in his debut flick he mesmerised the audiences with his performance as a local thug, in Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil he plays a guy from Kottayam.
Tinu Pappachan has directed this venture which has Anthony playing the role of a man named Jacob from Kottayam. The teaser of this thriller was recently released and captured the attention of film buffs in a big way. The thrilling music has upped the expectation levels among the audiences as well.
Speaking about his film Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil, the director is reported to have said that it is a thriller with some gravity-defying action sequences. He added that fans will get to see a completely different Anthony from what they saw in Angamaly Diaries.
Vinayakan and Chemban Vinod Jose are sharing screen space with Anthony Varghese in the film and they will have equally important roles, we hear from sources. Both Anthony and Chemban Vinod will be seen speaking the Kottayam dialect in the movie, added the sources.
Dileep Kurien has written the script and he has co-produced the film along with Angamaly Diaries director Lijo Jose Pellissery, writer Chemban Vinod Jose and director B Unnikrishnan. Cinematographer Gireesh Gangadharan and editor Shameer Mohammed who had worked in Angamaly Diaries are handling their respective departments in this film too.
Tinu Pappachan, who had worked with Lijo Jose as his assistant, is wielding the megaphone for this venture and has said that Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil will be a completely different film. Incidentally, the story is set in a single night and how an event upturns the lives of the lead characters. The film has been shot extensively in various locations including Kottayam, Mangaluru and Australia.
