Mysskin is busy wrapping up Vishal-starrer Thupparivaalan, a crime thriller that also stars Prasanna, Anu Emmanuel and veteran filmmaker Bhagyaraj in important roles.
Actress-singer Andrea Jeremiah, who was recently roped in for a pivotal role, is apparently playing the primary antagonist, according to reliable sources. Earlier, it was believed that Bhagyaraj was playing the baddie and with this latest development it would be interesting to see whether both of them will play partners in crime.
In the film, Vishal plays a suave detective and the most interesting part is that the story is based on real-life case files of a detective. Unlike Vishal’s regular commercial outings, this project is believed to be his first outing in a long time, sans any commercial elements. Prasanna, who was last seen in Mysskin’s Anjaathe, is expected to play Vishal’s partner and it is being rumoured that they will be portrayed as the local version of Sherlock and Watson pair.
Nearly 60 per cent of the project has already been wrapped up and the makers are aiming for an April release. This film marks the first collaboration of Mysskin and Vishal.
