
Anant Nag is predominantly a Kannada actor but he has acted in Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Malayalam and Hindi films in his long career. The actor last appeared in the Telugu film Kondura Anugraham in 1978. After more than four decades, Anant Nag has agreed to don the greasepaint for a Telugu movie! Yes, reports are that he has agreed to play an important role in the upcoming Nithin starrer Bheeshma. Apparently, he will be seen playing a farmer, stressing the importance of organic farming, in this movie.
Sources in the know say that it took several rounds of discussions with the actor to get him on board this project as the filmmakers were keen on having him cast for the particular role which is performance-oriented. Scenes involving the actor has been shot already and he will be joining the team to film the climax portions.Anant Nag currently has the Kannada films Mysore Masala: The UFO Incident and Yaana in post-production mode and the Shiva Rajkumar-starrer Ayushman Bhava.
Nithin’s Bheeshma is progressing swiftly with the shooting all set to be completed by the end of this month. The film has Rashmika Mandanna playing the female lead. Venky Kudumula is the director of Bheeshma and it is bankrolled by Naga Vamsi. Music composer Devi Sri Prasad is the music composer. Nithin will be sporting a brand new look in this film and his look has already gone viral among the movie buffs. The plan earlier was to release Bheeshma this year-end but its release has been postponed to February 21, 2020, to coincide with Maha Sivaratri. Nithin’s Bheeshma turned out to be one of the expected films after a poster of the film with the hero in a brand new look went viral among the netizens.
