Amy Jackson’s first look in the much anticipated 2.0 is out and it has got fans all excited, to say the least. The poster had the caption, "The world is not only for humans" which promises much more than what meets the eye in the poster. While Amy Jackson looks stunning in the poster, we hear that her role is performance-oriented.
The sequel to Endhiran, 2.0 is directed by S Shankar who had wielded the megaphone for the prequel, which turned out to be a massive hit. 2.0 is being made on a larger canvas with producers shelling out about Rs. 450 crores. Reports are that it is the costliest film ever to be made in Indian cinema till date.
Bankrolled by A Subhaskaran’s Lyca Productions, 2.0 is expected to be released world over on January 25 next year. While the shooting of the film was wrapped up a couple of months ago, the post-production will go on for another three months, state sources. Reports are that a major chunk of the post-production involves the inclusion of graphics work and this is being done right now.
The star cast of 2.0 includes Rajinikanth playing dual roles as Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti, and Amy Jackson playing the female lead with the Bollywood star Akshay Kumar roped in to play the baddie. Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain, Kalabhavan Shajohn and Riyaz Khan are also included in the star cast.
