Kannada star and politician Ambareesh passed away recently following a massive heart attack. While his fans are still mourning his death, they can find solace in the fact that one of his hit numbers is recreated for his son’s debut movie, titled Amar. Sources in the know say that that the number ‘Olavina Udugore Kodalenu... Rakuthade Baradenu Ida Nannu’ from the 1987 film Olavina Udugore will be remixed for Abhishek’s debut film Amar. The original version of the song was composed by M Ranga Rao with the lyrics written by R N Jayagopal.

Directed by Nagashekar, Amar is being bankrolled under the banner Sandesh Productions. The shooting of this film commenced a few weeks ago and is progressing at a rapid pace. Amar’s technical crew comprises Arjun Janya for composing music, Satya Hegde to crank the camera and Sania Sardhariya to design the costumes. The film has Tanya Hope playing the female lead.

Speaking about his role in the film, Abhishek had told in an interview much earlier, “I am passionate about motorsports in general. Bike racing is new and I am excited about this. I have been meeting experts and rallyists and understanding what it is to be on the track. I’m working on my body language and understanding. We plan on keeping it as real as possible and I’m planning on shooting for most of it, except maybe a few dangerous stunts, which might have doubles.”

A major portion of the film has been shot in Switzerland from where the team had returned recently. Remaining portions will be done in and around Bengaluru, we hear. Amar is set for release next year, say sources.
