Abhishek, son of the star couple Ambareesh and Sumalatha, will be making his debut with the Kannada film Amar. Directed by Nagashekar, the film is being bankrolled under the banner Sandesh Productions. The shooting of Amar commenced a few weeks ago and is progressing at a rapid pace. The schedules have been jam-packed with the director shooting at various locations in Karnataka.
According to an update from the Amar team, the cast and crew will be flying down to Switzerland for the next schedule. A major portion of significant scenes will be shot in the scenic beauty of Switzerland, add sources. Amar’s technical crew comprises Arjun Janya for composing music, Satya Hegde to crank the camera and Sania Sardhariya to design the costumes. The film has Tanya Hope playing the female lead.
Speaking about his role in the film, Abhishek had said in an interview much earlier, “I am passionate about motorsports in general. Bike racing is new and I am excited about this. I have been meeting experts and rallyists and understanding what it is to be on the track. I’m working on my body language and understanding. We plan on keeping it as real as possible and I’m planning on shooting for most of it, except maybe a few dangerous stunts, which might have doubles.”
On her role in the film, Tanya Hope said, “I play this rebellious girl, who is a badass biker too. The task of learning to ride a heavy bike is a daunting thought, but I am slowly getting there. I’ve begun learning to ride the smaller, less heavier ones and hope to get to riding the big ones soon. I am having my fingers crossed that everything goes fine. I’m also learning to get the body language of a biker girl right.”
It may be mentioned that there is a reason for the film being titled Amar as Ambareesh’s real name is Amarnath and it is derived from that. Also the character names in some of the hit movies that Ambareesh played the hero were Amar. Well, hope the magic rubs on to his son to score a hit with his debut!
