Following the box office debacle of Naa Peru Surya, Naa Illu India earlier this year, Allu Arjun is taking time to finalise his next project. He is reportedly in talks with different directors at the moment. Sources in the know say that the hero is not in a hurry to sign a new project as he wants his next to be a surefire hit.

While there were reports that Allu Arjun’s next would be directed by Trivikram Srinivas and is inspired by the Hindi flick Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, sources confirm that the project is not on cards for now. The star is spending time hearing out scripts from the young generation directors like Parasuram and Sankalp Reddy and may go on to finalize one of them.

Director Sankalp Reddy made his debut with The Ghazi Attack, and Antariksham, which came with the tagline ‘9000 kmph’, released recently. Known for making a positive impact with his debut flick, expectations were high on this space thriller. Antariksham has Varun Tej, Lavanya Tripathi and Aditi Rao Hydari as the lead star cast.

Parasuram, on the other hand, is basking in glory over the hit status of his latest release Geetha Govindam. The film, on its theatrical release, turned out to be one of the biggest hits of the year. It had premiered on TV and went on to get the highest rating ever proving that it is an undisputed hit.

The film is about the lead pair – Geetha played by Rashmika Mandanna and Govind played by Vijay Devarakonda. What happens to them forms the story of Geetha Govindam.

Allu Arjun may work with either Parasuram or Sankalp Reddy depending on their scripts.
