The shooting of Naa Peru Surya has finally been wrapped up with its lead stars Allu Arjun and Anu Emmanuel confirming it by posting a selfie from the sets. The shooting came to an end with the team completing a song sequence on the lead pair late on Wednesday.
With this, it is now certain that NPS will hit the marquee on May 4 as planned. Earlier, the film was planned for release on April 27 but it was postponed to May 4 following an announcement by the makers of the Rajinikanth starrer Kaala that the film would be out on that day.
Ace writer Vakkantham Vamsi is making his directorial debut with Naa Peru Surya which is touted to be an action film. Allu Arjun plays the title role while Anu Emmanuel plays the leading lady. The others in the star cast include Arjun Sarja, R Sarathkumar, Thakur Anoop Singh, Boman Irani and Vennela Kishore. According to reports, Allu Arjun plays an army officer in this film and had undergone rigorous training in the US to fit into the character he plays in it.
The latest buzz about this film is that its Tamil version will be released simultaneously with its Telugu version. It will be titled En Per Surya En Naadu India. Known to be a perfectionist, Allu Arjun will be dubbing for the Tamil version as well. Incidentally, the star was born and brought up in Chennai which makes him proficient in the language. Penning the dialogues and lyrics of the Tamil version would be Pa Vijay and he has already begun the task to meet the deadline.
The film is bankrolled by Sirisha Lagadapati, Sridhar Lagadapati, Bunny Vasu, Sushil Choudhary and K Nagendra Babu under the banner Ramalakshmi Cine Combines. Bollywood duo Vishal-Shekar are the music directors for NPS while Rajeev Ravi has cranked the camera and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao had edited it.
Naa Peru Surya is one of the most anticipated films of the year and that was evident when its teaser was released online on 1 January, 2018. Within 29 hours of its release, the teaser registered 10 million digital views.
