Director N Lingusamy and Allu Arjun were to team up for a film this year but it was delayed as both of them were busy with their respective projects. And now we have an update about the film. Reports say that the shooting of this untitled bilingual would begin in summer 2018 and the groundwork for it has begun. The film will be bankrolled by Studio Green.

In the meantime, Allu Arjun will be wrapping up Naa Peru Surya which is gearing up for release on April 27 and Lingusamy will be done with the Vishal starrer bilingual Sanda Kozhi 2 / Pandem Kodi 2 by then. Allu Arjun has had a good year so far with his Duvvada Jagannadham turning out to be a big hit. With the star gearing up to make his acting debut in the Tamil film industry with the Lingusamy directorial, his fans in the state are excited.

It may be mentioned that Lingusamy’s last directorial was the Surya starrer Anjaan in 2014, which turned out to be a box office dud.

Naa Peru Surya, on the other hand, is progressing at a brisk pace. The team had wrapped up a schedule in Ooty recently and are getting ready to go ahead with the next schedule. The film is directed by Vakkantham Vamsi, the noted writer who had penned Athidhi, Kick, Yevadu, Race Gurram, and Temper. He is making his debut as a director with Naa Peru Surya. Incidentally, in his long career, Allu Arjun had worked with only two debut directors. While the first was Sukumar, the second happens to be Vakkantham Vamsi. The film has Anu Emmanuel playing the heroine with Arjun Sarja, R. Sarathkumar and Vennela Kishore playing important roles. Vishal-Shekhar is composing the tunes for this flick.
