Santosh Shoban’s next after Thanu Nenu will be the Telugu movie Paper Boy. Produced by top director Sampath Nandi, the film’s story and dialogues have also been penned by him while Jaya Shankar will be making his debut as the director.

Recently, veteran producer Allu Aravind was at the special screening of Paper Boy at the Prasad Labs and impressed with it, had procured its theatrical rights. Allu Aravind’s Geetha Arts will be releasing Paper Boy in Andhra and Telangana.

The film has Santosh Shoban in the lead role with Tanya Hope and Riya Suman as the leading ladies. Touted to be a romantic entertainer, the film will trace out the romance of a paperboy as the title indicates. The shooting and post-production of Paper Boy has been wrapped up and it is gearing up for release on August 31.

On Santosh Shoban’s performance in the film, Sampath Nandi had told in an interview to Deccan Chronicle that, “There are a lot of emotional scenes, and Santosh has delivered a nuanced performance.” On playing the lead role yet again, hero Santosh Sobhan had told in an interview that it is the desire of his late father Sobhan that he don the greasepaint and he will do all he can to shine as a hero.

Sampath Nandi is a well-known director and producer with several films to his credit. He made his directorial debut with the 2010 release Yemaindi Ee Vela starring Varun Sandesh and Nisha Aggarwal and it went on to score a big hit.

Sampath Nandi has directed films such as Racha, Bengal Tiger and Goutham Nanda so far. His first production venture, Galipatam, starring Aadi, Kristina Akheeva, Rahul Ravindran, Erica Fernandes, made it to the silver screens in 2014 and after four years he is producing the film Paper Boy under his own banner.
