The shooting of the Ravi Teja starrer Disco Raja was stalled for sometime over some differences of opinion between its makers and the lead star. However, it has been sorted out and the shooting resumed recently. Currently, the team is stationed at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad where some scenes are being canned on the sets specially erected for the purpose.

The latest update about Disco Raja is that Allari Naresh has been roped in to play an important role in the film. Impressed over the way his character has been shaped up, Allari Naresh has agreed to join the star cast, confirm sources.

According to reports, Disco Raja is a science fiction. There are three women actors in the lead -- Nabha Natesh, Payal Rajput and Priyanka Jawalkar -- roped in to share screen space with Ravi Teja. Vi Anand is wielding the megaphone for this entertainer.

On the progress of Disco Raja, its producer Ram Talluri said in an earlier interview to cinemaexpress, "The film is replete with special effects and director Vi Anand and his team are investing a lot of efforts to make Disco Raja a visual extravaganza. Planning of the second schedule has taken little over a month's time. We are excited to make this film with Ravi Teja and Anand.”

Ravi Teja’s last film release was Amar Akbar Anthony, which made it to the silver screens on November 16th last year. Directed by Srinu Vaitla, Amar Akbar Anthony was bankrolled by Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Shankar, Mohan Cherukuri (CVM) and Praveen Marpuri under the banner Mythrie Movie Makers. While Ileana D'Cruz and Ravi Teja played the lead pair, it had Vikramjeet Virk, Sunil, Abhimanyu Singh, Sayaji Shinde, Vennela Kishore, etc, in supporting roles. The film’s technical crew included S Thaman for music, Venkat C Dileep for cinematography and MR Varma for editing.

With Amar Akbar Anthony bombing at the box office, Ravu Teja is badly in need of a big hit.
