Akhil Akkineni took the mike during the audio launch of his upcoming release Hello and surprised the audience by crooning a song. Though not a trained singer, the young actor won the hearts of thousands of his fans present at the venue and ended it with a note saying that he did it for the first time.

While his father and producer of the film Nagarjuna looked nervous throughout, his mother Amala seemed to be relaxed and enjoying the show.

Directed by Vikram Kumar of Manam fame, the film has Akhil Akkineni playing the lead role with Kalyani Priyadarshan, daughter of acclaimed filmmaker Priyadarshan and actor Lissy, making her debut. Others in the star cast of this romantic action thriller are Jagapati Babu, Ramya Krishnan and Ajay. Anup Rubens has scored the music for this film while PS Vinod has cranked the camera with Pravin Pudi editing it.

Hello, produced by Nagarjuna under his banners Annapurna Studios and Manam Enterprises, is slated for release on December 21 to cash in on the Christmas weekend.

There are huge expectations on this film ever since its first look was released on August 22 this year. And this was topped by the teaser that was launched on November 16 and the theatrical trailer that was released on December 1. The film’s audio launch happened in Vizag on December 10 which was a huge success.

Hello is all set to hit the silver screens on December 22 and will be clashing with Nani and Sai Pallavi's MCA at the box office.

It may be mentioned that Hello was announced last year but the project took off early this year after its producer Nagarjuna suggested several changes to the script. With Akhil Akkineni’s debut movie Akhil turning out to be a dud at the box office, its makers are leaving no stone unturned to make Hello a big success.
