Tollywood actor and Nagarjuna's son, Akhil Akkineni, hosted a dinner for the crew of the film Hero, who were in Hyderabad recently.

The young star posted a pic with the film's lead star Sivakarthikeyan and captioned it, “What a lovely evening with the Chennai crew! All the best for Hero guys ! Godspeed @sivakarthikeyan @george_dop @psmithran.”

Besides Sivakarthikeyan, Hero’s director PS Mithran and cinematographer George C Williams also attended the event.

Responding to Akhil’s online message, Sivakarthikeyan wrote, “Very happy to meet u brother had a great time ther. See u soon and all the best for ur movie wit Baskar sir.”

Pairing up with Sivakarthikeyan in Hero will be two heroines, Kalyani Priyadarshan and Ivana, as the female leads with Arjun, Vivek and Robo Shankar forming the supporting star cast. RD Raja and KJR Studios are bankrolling this venture. George C Williams and Ruben are in charge of the film’s cinematography and editing respectively.

This film will have Bollywood actor Abhay Deol as the main villain. On choosing the actor for this role, director Mithran said in an interview to a Tamil daily that he wanted someone who has a smiling face but should be able to create terror in the minds of the audiences when his true identity is revealed.

Sivakarthikeyan, who is basking in the great response for his latest release Namma Veettu Pillai, will soon resume shooting for his upcoming yet-untitled science-fiction Tamil film with director Ravikumar. Tipped to be an alien invasion comedy, the film also stars Rakul Preet Singh.

The actor also has an upcoming project with director Nelson of Kolamavu Kokila fame; a yet-untitled film with director Siva that will reportedly go on the floors from December or early next year; and another film with Vignesh Shivn in the pipeline.
