#Launch2020, an event attended by top industry leaders from India and Twitter Global leadership, has now listed Ajith’s Viswasam and Mahesh Babu’s Maharshi among 2019’s top influential moments on Twitter. These are hashtags that fans used in their post about the film, which eventually made it trend on Twitter.

#CWC19, which was used during the Cricket World Cup held between May 30 to July 14 this year, has been listed at number 3. Mahesh Babu’s Telugu film #Maharshi, released on May 9, found the fourth spot. Rounding off the list at number 5 is #HappyDiwali. Deepavali was celebrated on October 27 this year.

Viswasam, starring Ajith and Nayanthara in the lead, was released right in time for Pongal along with Rajinikanth’s Petta. Viswasam was directed by Siva, who was collaborating with Ajith for the fourth consecutive time after Veeram, Vedhalam and Vivegam.
Viswasam is based on a father’s love for his daughter and the film raked gold at the box office, becoming Ajith’s one of the most successful films in recent years.
Maharshi, Mahesh Babu’s 25th film as the lead, was directed by Vamsi Paidipally and jointly produced by Dil Raju, C Ashwini Dutt, and Prasad V Potluri through their production companies Sri Venkateswara Creations, Vyjayanthi Movies, and PVP Cinema respectively. Apart from Mahesh Babu, the film also featured Allari Naresh and Pooja Hegde in lead roles. The film received great response from the audience and also went on to become a huge success at the box office.
