The teaser of the Ajith starrer Vivegam released a few days ago went viral on the internet as expected. The teaser set a new record with over one crore views within just a few days of its release and has managed to get over four lakh likes! In fact, this is the second Tamil film after the Rajinikanth starrer Kabali to get that many likes. It also happens to be the fastest movie teaser to fetch five million views within 12 hours of its release.
Directed by Siva, Vivegam has Ajith playing the lead role with Kajal Agarwal and Akshara Haasan as his heroines. The film also has Bollywood actors Vivek Oberoi and Arav Chowdhury playing the baddies. The shooting of this magnum opus began in Slovenia last year and has been progressing in various parts of Europe. Touted to be in the last leg of shooting, Vivegam is gearing up for release on August 10 to cash in on the long Independence Day weekend.
Bankrolled by TG Thyagarajan under the banner Sathya Jyothi Films, the film has music by Anirudh. While Vetri is cranking the camera for this magnum opus, the film will be edited by Ruben. Vivegam is a spy thriller in which Ajith’s character is reportedly named Vivek. According to reports, the spy thriller is loaded with racy action sequences and its lead star, Ajith, suffered an injury while shooting for one of it. With the shooting is in the final stages, sources close to the film unit say that the audio launch could take place later this month along with the trailer launch.
It may be mentioned that Ajith and Siva are teaming up for the third time after Veeram and Vedhalam, which has raised the expectation levels. There are high hopes that the duo will score a hat trick with Vivegam.
