Aishwarya Rajesh has been bagging some of the best performance-oriented roles in her career untill now. This actor has surprised everyone by agreeing to play Siva Karthikeyan’s sister in the upcoming Pandiraj directorial.
While she has acted as the main female lead in several films, it is quite surprising that she agreed to the sister role. Sources from the film's camp told in.com, "Aishwarya’s role is the most crucial in the film’s proceedings. She adds to the emotional quotient of the film, being a role that demands a strong performance as well.”
This Siva Karthikeyan-Pandiraj project has not been titled yet and we hear that the shooting will begin soon. Anu Emmanuel has been signed up to play the female lead in this project.
Anu Emmanuel's last two film releases in Telugu, Naa Peru Surya and Sailaja Reddy Alludu did not fare too well following which she did not get to ink new deals. However, things seem to look bright for Anu with the role in Siva Karthikeyan’s film coming her way.
She was last seen in the Vishal's Tamil movie Thupparivalan, a couple of years ago. It was an action thriller written and directed by Mysskin.
Tipped to be a rural romantic comedy, the film is being bankrolled by Sun Pictures. SK16 marks the third time collaboration of Sivakarthikeyan and Pandiraj after Marina and Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga. Interestingly in 2012 Siva made his acting debut with the Tamil film Marina which was directed by Pandiraj.
The supporting cast features Yogi Babu, Soori, Samuthirakani and RK Suresh, Natarajan and Bharathiraja in pivotal roles. Nirav Shah has been roped in to crank the camera, while Antony Ruben will take care of editing. Veera Samar has been signed as the art director. D Imman has been roped in to compose music.
Sivakarthikeyan's Mr Local directed by M Rajesh is slated to hit the screens today. The film sees Siva and Nayanthara reunite after Velaikkaran. The movie also stars Radhika Sarathkumar, Thambi Ramaiya, Sathish, Yogi Babu, Robo Shankar, Harija.
