The cover version of the song ‘Neeyilla Neram’ from Luca has been released online and is capturing the attention of the netizens in a big way. It has been sung by Ahaana Krishna, the heroine in the film. Sharing a post about this song, Ahaana Krishna has posted online, “The first time I heard this beautiful song, which was sometime in February, I knew I had to make a tiny imperfect version of myself with this song.”

She adds: "So yes.. here's a little something .. because it's been 57 days of LUCA (sic)."

Tovino Thomas plays the title role in Luca which hit the marquee on June 28. He plays an eccentric artist in Luca. He has a small circle of friends and a few issues from childhood. Ahaana plays Niharika, who comes into Luca’s life after a small exchange between them at the art fest. The film is both a thriller and a romance.

Ahaana was also seen in the film Pathinettam Padi as a teacher. She made her debut in Njan Steve Lopez, directed by Rajeev Ravi, and after that, played a role in Nivin Pauly starrer Njandukalude Naattil Oridavela.

On working in Luca, Tovino has disclosed earlier that he was in discussion with the film’s director for nearly five years and the project took shape after re-drafting the script several times during that period.

Wielding the megaphone for Luca was debut director Arun Bose. He has scripted the film in association with Mridul George. The technical crew of Luca will comprise Sooraj S Kurup to compose the tunes, Nimish Ravi for cranking the camera and Nikhil Venu for editing. The film is being bankrolled jointly by Linto Thomas and Prince Hussain under the banner Stories and Thoughts Productions. Its supporting cast includes Vineetha Koshy, Thalaivasal Vijay, Jaffer Idukki, Neena Kurup, Chembil Ashokan, Pauly Valsan and Devi Ajith among others.
