After Vada Chennai, VIP 2, Amala Paul signs a crime thriller

Actress Amala Paul is on a roll. Undeterred by her recent separation from her husband and filmmaker Vijay, the Mynaa actress is on a signing spree and currently has three projects in her kitty, with the latest one being a crime thriller featuring Vishnu Vishal. Amala also has two back-to-back projects with Dhanush, and it includes the highly anticipated Vada Chennai and VIP 2.

In Vishnu Vishal’s film, which will be helmed by Mundasupatti director Ram Kumar, she will be seen playing a homely character. According to Ram, she immediately fit the bill when they were on the lookout for someone who could play a simple, middle-class girl.

Amala will join the sets from the first week of December. A crime thriller, the film will mark Vishnu Vishal’s first cop role and he’s expected to start working on his physique for the character.

After shooting for her portion in this film, Amala will join the sets of Vada Chennai from January next year. In between schedules, she will also shoot for VIP 2, which will be directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth.
