BJP candidate and former cricketer Sreesanth’s statement that the Kerala BJP President Kummanam Rajasekharan was like Sachin Tendulkar has elicited a sharp response from writer NS Madhavan.
Sreesanth said on a private TV channel that the ways of Kummanam were similar to those of Tendulkar.
He stated that Kummanam, who was similar to Sachin in his down-to-earth behaviour, was his favourite leader in the state.
Reacting to the statement, former bureaucrat turned writer N S Madhavan tweeted saying that if Sreesanth keeps making such statements, then people will soon become like Harbhajan Singh, alluding that he will get beaten by the people.
Harbhajan had slapped Sreesanth after a game in the first season of the India Premier League (IPL) in 2008, leaving the former cricketer in tears.
