It’s the season of actors making a splash on television. After Kamal Haasan, Arvind Swami, Suriya, Vishal, Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar and Shruthi Haasan it’s Vijay Sethupathi's turn to make his television debut.

Vijay Sethupathi, who is one of the busiest actors in the tinsel town with a number of films in multiple south Indian languages needing his attention, will soon be seen hosting a talk show on Sun TV.

Speaking to TNM, Kathik Srinivasan from Noise and Grains who is co-producing the show said, "The concept of the show has been designed by Vijay Sethupathi entirely. We would have come across many talk shows, but this will be first of its kind. It will be a feel-good-positive show which will discuss and introduce real-life heroes in the society. The show will be on air next month. We will be announcing the title of the show very soon."

Vijay is also expecting the release of the magnum opus Petta, in which he will be seen sharing the screen space with the Superstar Rajinikanth. The actor’s character name is Jithu in this film. Talking about his character in the film during the recent audio launch, Sethupathi confirmed that he will be playing the main antagonist in the film. Petta is directed by Karthik Subburaj and bankrolled by Kalanidhi Maran under his banner Sun Pictures.

He is also gearing up for the release of Seethakaathi on December 20. The film has been directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan of Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kanom. Govind Menon has composed the tunes for this flick with Saraskanth TK wielding the camera and R Govindaraj roped in for editing.

On the other hand, he is part of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, the biopic of the legendary freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, in which he will be sharing the screen space with Chiranjeevi and Amitabh Bachchan. It has been directed by Surendhar Reddy and bankrolled by Ram Charan Teja under his banner Konidela Production Company.

It is also rumoured that Vijay is all set foray into the Malayalam film industry. Reports are that he will be sharing the screen space with veteran actor Jayaram in a movie that will be directed by Sajan Kalathil, who is also a well-known cinematographer. The project is reported to be in the initial stages and an official word about it will be out soon, we hear from sources.
