Putting all ill-health rumours to rest, superstar Rajinikanth is set to return to India from US on July 3.
Currently holidaying with his family in the US, ‘Thalaivar’ took a much deserved break to unwind since he’s been shooting non-stop over the last few months for Kabali as well as 2.o.
It is rumoured that he was advised to go on a holiday by his family doctor as he felt the actor’s rigorous working schedule might take a toll on his body.
Once he is back, Rajinikanth will resume work on Shankar’s magnum opus, 2.o, which is currently being shot across several prime locations in Chennai.
Bollywood’s Akshay Kumar, who debuts in Kollywood in a protagonist’s role, is shooting in disguise and is unrecognizable even while the team is shooting in public.
The makers are going to shoot some key scenes between Rajinikanth and Akshay in a specially erected set in EVP Film City, where the team has been shooting over the last month and a half.
Also starring Amy Jackson and Sudhanshu Pandey, the film is the sequel to Enthiran, and it will reintroduce audiences to scientist Vaseegaran, played by Rajinikanth
