Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap met the legendary Malayalam actor Mohanlal recently and posted a pic with him captioning it: “With the legend @actormohanlalofficial. My dad (sic) is just gotten super.” The filmmaker is known to share a good rapport with his counterparts in south India and meet them on occasions.

Anurag, a noted screenplay writer, has also directed several films including Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 1 and 2, Gulaal, Mumbai Cutting, That Girl in Yellow Boots, Dev D and Raman Raghav 2.0. Interestingly, Anurag has also penned a part of the screenplay for Nivin Pauly’s upcoming film, Moothon.

Written and directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film has Nivin Pauly playing the central character with Shashank Arora also part of the star cast. The film's script, to be made simultaneously in Malayalam and Hindi, had won the global filmmaking award at the Sundance film festival last year.

Geetu Mohandas had posted on a social networking site about working with Anurag: “Hello Friends, I'm not good with big announcements since we have always done things quietly. So this is a first. Bollywood director Anand L Rai, known for making films like Tanu Weds Manu, Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Raanjhanaa, has produced Moothon under his banner Colour Yellow Productions. Rajeev Ravi has cranked the camera for this bilingual.
