Allu Sirish's latest release ABCD (American Born Confused Desi), the official remake of the Malayalam film under the same name, has bombed at the box office. The film did not manage to live up to the expectation of the audience as it has received negative reviews from both critics and audience.
The latest buzz is that Allu Sirish would be teaming up with director Premsai for his next. Actor turned director Premsai is a former associate of Prabhu Deva. Premsai’s last film was Tamilselvanum Thaniyar Anjalum with Jai in Tamil which was also remade in Telugu as Courier Boy Kalyan with Nithiin in the lead role. The film marked his debut directorial venture. Bankrolled by director Gautham Vasudev Menon, after a long delay due to production hiccups of the producer, the film had hit the screens after four years of production.
Sources confirmed to TNM that Premsai has narrated the story to Allu Aravind, Allu Sirish and both are impressed with it and has given their nod. The director has also narrated the story to Sirish's brother Allu Arjun who was overwhelmed with the story. It is said the film will be announced officially soon.
Meanwhile, Allu Sirish celebrated his birthday on May 30 and took to Twitter to thank fans and friends for the wishes. He also opened up about ABCD's poor show. He tweeted, "My director Sanjeev and all of us at ABCD unit have worked very hard to make an entertaining film. Despite our best efforts, the film couldn’t deliver what was expected of it. I humbly accept the audience’s verdict and all feedback on the film.
He also added that he will continue to work hard and strive to deliver better films in the future.
