Dhruv Vikram, son of the award-winning actor Vikram, will be making his debut with the Arjun Reddy remake Adithya Varma. Having completed the shooting of this film, he posted a video on Instagram with the message, “Adithya Varma will always be the most beautiful thing that’s ever happened to me. He gave me a purpose, gave my life meaning, gave me clarity about myself and most importantly, taught me how to never give up. So much love for all the people in this video, especially the man (his dad Vikram) in the last frame. Couldn’t have done it without you.”
The film is directed by debutant Girisayya who was an associate of Sandeep Vanga, the director of Arjun Reddy. Rothan has composed music for this venture with Ravi K Chandran cranking the camera. Banita Sandhu and Priya Anand play the female leads in this flick.
It may be noted here that Dhruv Vikram was to have made his acting debut with the Bala directorial Varma, a remake of Arjun Reddy. But this project was scrapped entirely after the shooting was completed owing to creative differences between director Bala and the producer.
The producers then announced that the entire film will be re-shot with debutant Girisayya helming it as the director.
Adithya Varma is being bankrolled by E4 Entertainment, producers of popular Malayalam films such as Ezra and Godha. October fame Banita Sandhu is playing the female lead opposite Dhruv and Priya Anand is playing an important role. Ravi K Chandran is cranking the camera, who will be marking his comeback in Tamil after 7am Arivu.
