Following the success of Irumugan, Vikram is planning to work on a small project before commencing work on the sequel to Saamy.

Since director Hari is busy wrapping up Suriya’s ‘Singam 3’ and won’t be available for another month or so, the shoot of Saamy 2 has been subsequently pushed.

In the interim period, Vikram might star in the remake of the critically and commercial successful recent Hollywood thriller, Don’t Breathe.

A leading studio has initiated talks with Vikram who, having seen the original recently, has expressed his interest in the film.

Meanwhile, Vikram has also heard two scripts from directors Socrates (of Bramman fame) and Arun Kumar, who made Vijay Sethupathi’s Sethupathi.

Out of the two, he’s most excited about Arun Kumar’s script; however, he’s not sure if he can commence work on the project right away or after he completes Saamy 2.

In another week or two, we would get more clarity on Vikram’s next project.

It has to be seen whether it’ll be the remake of Don’t Breathe or one of the two original scripts that he was approached for.

Vikram, who lost nearly a year without a release due to Irumugan, plans to have two releases next year.
