Dubsmash girl Varsha Bollamma, who shot to fame after her Dubsmash on the famous dialogues by actor Nazriya in Raja Rani went viral, is back in the news again. This time around, she has bagged a new project.

The young actor, who made her acting debut with the Tamil flick Sathuran, was seen in films such as Ivan Yaarendru Therigiradhaa and Yaanum Theeyavan in Tamil while her debut in Malayalam was with Kalyanam.

On her debut in the Malayalam film industry, this Nazriya look-alike has been quoted as saying: “Acting in a Malayalam movie was totally a different experience. Here everything is different, even the acting style. Neither the director nor viewers expect overacting. Everything needs to be real. That is the beauty of Malayalam movies. You won’t see any over-the-top expressions or unwanted dialogues here. So I was very relaxed and could do it without any pressure.”

In Kalyanam, Varsha was paired opposite Shravan, son of actor Mukesh. Incidentally, the film marked Shravan’s acting debut as well. On working with the Kalyanam crew, Varsha said that everyone was so helpful that she could complete the shooting with ease. She also pointed out that Asha Aravind, who plays her mother in the film, helped her with the Malayalam translation making things easier.

The actor also has another film lined up for release. Titled Mandaram, she shares screen space with Asif Ali in the film. Varsha reveals that the story will revolve around the lead star, spanning over 25 years of his life. The film is being directed by Vijesh Vijay.

Varsha Bollamma is certainly on a roll with a number of films coming her way, from both Kollywood as well as Mollywood. Reports indicate that she will be inking a few other new deals in the near future.
