IMDB has rated Sriram Raghavan’s thriller Andhadhun, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, as the most popular film according to user ratings for the year 2018. This Bollywood flick also stars Tabu and Radhika Apte. It hit the marquee on October 5th this year worldwide and has been an instant hit among the film buffs.
Andhadhun’s story is about a pianist who gets entangled in the murder of an ex-actor. Scripted by Raghavan, Arijit Biswas, Pooja Ladha Surti, Yogesh Chandekar and Hemanth Rao, the film has been directed by Sriram Raghavan.
The technical crew of the film includes editor Surti, cinematographer KU Mohanan, music directors Amit Trivedi, Raftaar and Girish Nakod and lyricist Jaideep Sahni. The film was bankrolled under the banners Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Matchbox Pictures on a budget of Rs 32 crores and went on to collect Rs 111 crores at the box office.
Andhadhun was not only a commercial success but also won critical acclaim from the people in the trade.
This film is now all set to be remade with Siddharth reprising the role done by Ayushmann Khurrana in the original. Recently, Siddharth wanted his fans’ opinion on starring in the remake and has been getting a positive reply. Even the film’s main lead Ayushmann had tweeted: “go for it machaan,” indicating that it will be a good decision.

With fans and even the film’s director giving their thumbs up for the remake, we can expect an official word on it anytime soon. It would be interesting to see if the director of the original version would wield the megaphone once again for the remake or if it would have another filmmaker helming the affairs.
