Actor Rahman is waiting eagerly for his upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual Operation Arapaima to hit the marquee. The shooting of this film has been wrapped up and it is into the post production mode. Reports are that Operation Arapaima is based on some real life incidents and will have the audiences glued to their seats.

Prash will be making his debut as director with Operation Arapaima. Speaking about the film in an interview to the Cinema Express, Prash told, “I had previously worked in Coast Guard Aviation, and after retiring, I worked as an associate with many directors including TK Rajeev Kumar and Major Ravi. This film is based on a 2012 inter-country operation against women and drug trafficking. Countries such as India, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia were part of one of the biggest naval operations. Operation Arapaima will be about what went behind pulling this off.”

Apart from Rahman, the star cast includes Abhinaya, Tini Tom, Anoop Chandran, Samson T Wilson, and Balaji Sharma.

Operation Arapaima is bankrolled under the banner Time and Tide Frames. The technical crew of this film includes Phoenix Udhayan to handle the cinematography and singer Rakesh Brahmanandan for music. Sources in the know say that with the film’s shooting wrapped up, Operation Arapaima will hit the marquee next month.

Released in June this year, it was directed and filmed by Nizar Shafi and bankrolled by Ramesh Varma, Kiran K Talasila (Telugu version), MS Sharavanan (Tamil version) under the banner Sri Green Productions. Havish played the lead role in this film with Rahman playing the role of a police officer. Nandita Swetha and Regina Cassandra were the female leads in this flick.
