Actress Nicole Kidman, who won the award for Best Actress at the 2002 Academy Awards said she realised how "lonely" she was when she didn't have "anyone to share" her Oscar with.

The Oscar, which she won for her role in “The Hours” inspired Kidman to find a man to spend her life with, reports etonline.com.

"Winning the Oscar was a turning point, but not in terms of my life as an actor, because it was incredibly validating, but it actually symbolised loneliness because I didn't have anyone to share it with at that stage in my life," Kidman said during a question and answer session at the 60th BFI London Film Festival in London on Wednesday.

"I was like, 'Wow, this means I need to get my act together and I want to fall in love'. So it was weird," she added.
