Sandalwood star Darshan, who has done voice over for several films in the past, is doing it one more time for a friend. According to reports, he will be doing it for the Yashas Soorya starrer Rama Dhanya. Darshan has reportedly spoken about the film and his voice will be heard right at the beginning and end. This is sure to give Rama Dhanya a major boost. Sources say that Yashas will be appearing in three different avatars - as Rama, Kanaka Dasa and another role set in the current milieu – in this flick.
Both Darshan and Yashas share a good rapport and have worked together in quite a few films in the past. This strong bond helped Yashas rope in Darshan to do the voice over and being ever supportive to his friends, the latter agreed to do it immediately, we hear.
Directed by Nagesh, the film has Nimika Rathnakar as the female lead. Desi Mohan has composed music for this venture while the camera has been handled by Benaka Raja. The film has reached the post production mode and will hit the marquee later this month.
On the other hand, Darshan is busy with Kurukshetra, which has reached the post production mode. The star’s 50th film, it has him playing Duryodhana and Mahabharata is told from his perspective. To be released in multiple languages including Kannada, Tamil and Telugu, the film has a bevy of stars in the cast including Ambareesh, V. Ravichandran, Arjun Sarja, Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, Sneha, Meghana Raj, P. Ravi Shankar, Sonu Sood, Nikhil Gowda, Aditi Arya and Shashi Kumar. The film is slated for release in June this year. Darshan’s fans will also get to see him in a different avatar in Yajamana, which had started to roll a couple of months earlier. Directed by Pon Kumaran, the film is due for release later this year.
