Antony Varghese, who made his debut in the hit flick Angamaly Diaries, has finally signed on the dotted lines for his next. Though his first film hit theatres several months ago, Antony seemed to be in no hurry to hop on to his next project.
He has now finally agreed to star in an action thriller, and it’s no surprise that he will be working with members of the Angamaly Diaries team once more. The film will be directed by Tinu Pappachan, who was the chief associate director to Lijo Jose Pellissery – the director of Angamaly Diaries.
Lijo Jose, B Unnikrishnan and Chemban Vinod, who were all a part of Anthony’s debut film are also reportedly involved with his next project too.
On the delay in signing his second film, Antony told The Times of India, “I listened to at least 200 scripts during the interlude. There were so many good offers but the characters of many of those didn't fit my age profile. That's one of the reasons why I chose Tinu's film, because I was confident it's a role that I can pull off. Also, the movie is completely different from Angamaly Diaries.”
The plot of the film, debutant director Tinu said, will follow the travails of a Kottayam working in a finance company. “Certain incidents that happen in one night turns his life topsy-turvy, and how he tries to solve the problems takes the plot forward.”
The film will be shot in Kottayam, Mangalore and Australia, and the makers are yet to zero in on the actor who will play the female lead.
