Actor Aadhi Pinisetty, who has proved his mettle with films such as Mirugam and Eeram, will be seen playing an athlete in his next film, which will be directed by debutant Prithvi Adithya. The yet-untitled project, which will revolve around 400 metre running, will be simultaneously shot in Tamil and Telugu.

The principal shooting will begin from first week of June and will be shot predominantly in Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Vizag and Madurai.

“This film will revolve around 400m running, which has the challenges of both sprinting and long-distance running. The plot will delve into the challenges the protagonist faces in order to achieve his dreams,” director Prithvi was quoted by Times of India. The director had previously worked as an associate to director Elan in Pyaar Prema Kaadhal and as a creative producer in 8 Thottakkal. The makers are yet to finalise rest of the cast and crew. Apparently, Aadhi underwent special training to understand more about the sport.

Last seen in Tamil film Maragatha Naanayam, Aadhi was supposed to star in the Tamil remake of Telugu blockbuster RX 100. He had even confirmed in an interview that he was doing the project and was thrilled about the opportunity.

“When I saw the film, I felt it was more suitable for our Tamil audience. And that’s one of the reasons why I wanted to be a part of this project,” Aadhi had said last year and the project was supposed to go on the floors from last October. However, there’s no update on the project since the first announcement was made many months ago.

His last outing in Telugu Rangasthalam was a blockbuster hit. In the film he was seen playing Ram Charan's elder brother. It becomes the second Telugu film to have entered Rs 200 crore club.

Recently it was announced that Aadhi would be teaming up with Hansika Motwani for a project  Directed by debutant Mano Damodharan, a former assistant to Sarkunam and titled Partner, it is touted to be a science-fiction comedy.
