Popular actor couple in Sandalwood Ambareesh and Sumalatha’s son Abhishek Gowda is all set to follow in the footsteps of his parents.

The latest news is that the official launch of the film will on May 29, coinciding with Ambareesh’s birthday. The makers are planning for a photoshoot with the newbie, which is likely to take place during the first week of May and have fixed the muhurat date on Ambareesh’s birthday.

There were reports that either director Pawan Wadeyar or Chethan Kumar will be wielding the megaphone for Abhishek’s debut film. A few weeks ago, reports surfaced that Pawan Wadeyar was chosen to direct the film but later he had to opt out after he got an opportunity to direct a Puneeth Rajkumar starrer. The shooting of that film is currently underway.

Now it is reported that popular director Nagashekar has been roped in to direct the as-yet untitled movie. The project will be bankrolled by Sandesh Nagaraj. A businessman and a politician belonging to JD(S), Sandesh is a very close friend of Ambareesh.

Abhishek has been undergoing training sessions to get ready to face the camera. He underwent training in martial arts and kickboxing from a premier institution in Thailand. He was also trained by an acting teacher from Bengaluru who has a knowledge of the local industry.

While the rest of the cast and crew has not been revealed yet, the makers are in search for a heroine but there is no news that the actor has been finalised yet. However, it is rumoured that star pair Ambareesh and Sumalatha will make a special appearance in their son’s debut.

Ambareesh’s son entering films is one of the biggest happenings in the Kannada film industry in 2018, and with the film being produced under the Sandesh banner, it calls for double excitement.
