Image: ScreenshotA woman is dancing with her friends in a pub when a few men try to molest her. Though perturbed initially, the woman is not scared. She presses a small yellow button on her dress following which her porcupine jacket, meant to hug your molestors, is activated. The scene is from an animated video ad and ends with a message- that the imaginary jacket will be available in 2214 AD, but till then those in trouble can call the Mumbai police's women's helpline number 103.  Video of JzJdZKwT184 The "porcupine jacket" is part of a video series made earlier this year by Eeksaurus, a Mumbai-based ad film production company, for the Mumbai police to promote awareness about police helplines for women. The videos, each around a minute long, addresses a common but serious issue in a rather interesting and witty manner.   Video of BtVdbEjrvNk Suresh Eriyat, Founder & Creative Director, Eeksaurus told exchange4media, “I have been extremely hounded by the issues of women safety and the irreverence which people have towards the subject. So I made these films without the thought of selling it to anyone. So after these videos were done, I showed them to the Joint Commissioner of the Mumbai Police and he was so happy to see the work, that he asked me to use the Mumbai Police logo on the films and put them up on the internet. Also, when you are working on these projects, it is for your own satisfaction and not meant for making profits."  Video of QBuVQflHGug A note along with one of the video reads, "These films, in a light hearted manner, help in empowering women with the important Information of support at the time of duress. And by being very different from the existing campaigns that use fear psychosis to convey the message (which according to us adversely affect the cause) they will prove effective in communicating the message across."
